Faith

I am currently making a music video with a few of my friends, we've chosen to use the song 'Heartbeat' cover sung by 'Nneka'. The songs originally by chase and status so it's generally well known, however the cover we have chose. To use changes the dimensions of the so a title so it's slightly unrecognisable until it gets to the most common known parts of the song. We took a lot of pictures at our first setting. We went to the local beach. There's still many more to come but I can say I'm confident with the filming we have done already. The genre of the song is quite angry and mad. The song evolves around d heartbreak there for we have decided that we will induce a fair share of performance and narrative with a little bit of concept.
Because of the fact that we can't have the artist, who will be doing the lip syncing, smoking and doing drugs and just being crazy and loony, we have decided to add an actor too.

I love this picture because I think that the grittiness and dirtiness of the sea is very effective considering the genre of our video.

The high key light in this image shines straight from my face. It reflects off of my features creating a sheer shadow. The back ground doesn't look like England, the green hill looks lightly like the bottom of a mountain and the sea in the background looks like somewhere coastal in America.

I am the 'actor' in e video so I was given the task to look like a shabby emo/grunger. I dip dyed the bottoms of my hair with a blue wash out hair chalk that I recently got for £10 at the ideal home show in Earls Court. I wore thick tights and cut them around the knees and ankles so they look like they've been ripped open. I borrowed an oversized moss colour hooded coat from asos which added to the look perfectly. And I also pieced together a 4 layer black outfit, it was pretty mix and match. I base the outfit with an above the knee black topshop strappy dress, I put a black halfed lace chiffon shirt over the top, then added a cashmere cardigan jumper for warmth. I didn't want to wear any bright fashionable colours because I didn't want the dark gloomy Image to be over come by the choice of clothing.

I finished the outfit off with double layered thick black socks and my favourite river island black and gold chunky buckle boots. The look very similar to the infamous Jeffrey Campbell cut out boots. They are extremely gothic and original so they went with the outfit really well.

The name of the artist in the video is 'faith'. We chose this name because she is emotional however we don't want her to come across too angry and mad because that would be too overwhelming. The name faith is unusual and original so it fits really well with the image were trying to portray.

This photo was taken under the pier. We was walking along in the wind and found a little wooden entrance, this got us out of the cold but also revealed to us a beautiful little den right on the edge of the shore. The filming we did under here was some of our best due to the lighting and shadows.

This was the camera women all day, she is helping create this video too. She was very patient and imaginative.

His picture was taken with an ordinary iPhone. It looks like somewhere in Miami. It's one of my favourites taken from the day, the low key lighting creates the most amazing shadowing.

This is our artist. She went for the rock chic look. The high black leather boots with the mid-length skirt that's short at the front worked really well with the off the shoulder tie dye grey white and black cotton tee. Her makeup with dark and silver, with plenty of pearly highlighter.

This picture collage is made up of various pictures from this day, it shows the different areas of the setting we used; under the pier, the beach front, the meadow hills and the forestry parts. we used an editing tool to made the pictures more radiant and create a bright shadow theme.

When we were getting ready we decided to do our make-up dark and smoky. the artists make-up was flawless and airbrushed with strong plum lips; however, my make-up was done more messy and creative with bold black cat eyes and pale lips.

This picture was taken at the end of the day when we were frozen cold and shivering! we were tired and drained but we still managed to smile!!
